Robert A. Welch Hall contains large lecture halls, labs, and research facilities. Welch is home to the Department of Chemistry as well as many biochemistry, analytical chemistry, and physical chemistry labs, along with the Mallet Chemistry Library on the second floor. The grand hallway is often transformed to a variety of uses for CNS including study space, CNS organization fairs, and the Undergraduate Research Forum. Beginning in 2015, Welch Hall will undergo a series of renovations and building modernizations to improve classrooms and laboratories, including laboratories for the Freshman Research Initiative.
Continue in the same direction (south, with the canoe sculpture behind you) on Speedway. Soon on your left will be the Gates-Dell Complex. It is the building with gridded window treatments and a concrete sculpture in front.
